From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
I want to thank you for coming to meet with your child’s teacher on Report Card Pick-Up Day on April 18th. Your involvement in your child’s education is a critical element in his/her educational success. You are valuable members of our team and we could not be successful without your participation. I am certain you are following your child’s teachers’ suggestions for improvement during this final quarter of the 2011-2012 school year.
From the Assistant Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
Spring is definitely in the air. We are approaching our last few weeks of school but the students are still learning, striving, and expected to give their very best. The students must continue to come to school punctual, dressed in complete uniform, have completed homework, and distribute the Best of the Best behavior.

Walk Now for Autism
As most of you know autism is on the rise. The latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) study reports autism is now estimated to affect 1 in every 88 children. The walk is a fundraiser for autism research and awareness programs and is one of several being held around the country this year. Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into causes, prevention, treatment, cure of autism, in addition to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society.

- Allows each child to access the Internet via the CPS network, which is part of our technology curriculum at Owen
